Who We Are
Chris and Cathy Morland have teamed up to form Morland STRENGTH LLC which seeks to: advise, speak, and partner with others who develop relationships with professionals who educate athletes and clients. Our mission is to help others as we inspire students, coaches, clients, and trainers with the God-given skills we have to build champions in our community.
Cathy Morland
Co-partner and Executive Director
Cathy holds her Bachelor of Architecture from Virgina Tech. She practiced Architecture and Graphic Design in Denton, TX designing job proposals for small businesses, schools, and churches. She met and married Chris in Texas and they moved to North Carolina. With innovation and creativity she began her own in-home daycare business for 15+ clients over 10 years. She uses her gifts of shepherding, serving, and administration on a daily basis as she raises their two children Ben and Bethany at home. Her goals in partnering with Morland STRENGTH include the privilege of working from home while building relationships with others in the health and fitness field. She sees her role as an opportunity for personal and professional growth. Cathy was involved with Fellowship of Christian Athletes at Virgina Tech and teaches children at Capital Community Church where she serves Christ with her talents. Her life verse is Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all of your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight.”

Chris Morland is a career educator and coach who motivates excellence and develops champions. He received his Bachelors of Science and Masters of Science in Human Performance at the University of Tennessee. He was involved with the ministry of Athletes in Action and saw student-athletes lives transformed by Christ. He got his first coaching job at the University of North Texas where he participated in a 9-month seminary training program called “Young Guns” with Denton Bible Church. During that time he met Cathy next door and they married and moved to Raleigh, NC when he accepted a job as a strength and conditioning coach at NC State University. During his time there he coached 20 different teams, pioneered a top-25 internship program, and saw NCAA/ACC success as a coach. After NC State Chris went back to school full-time and taught Anatomy and Physiology at Apex High School. This experience led him to his current job as the director of Strength and Conditioning/Teacher at Cardinal Gibbons High School in Raleigh, NC. He has advised 40 young coaches and 60+ sport coaches over the last 12 years. He currently serves as a Deacon at Capital Community Church and his life verse is Matthew 6:33 “Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be given to you as well.”
